Small Great Graces Department: One is humbled when one is used -- even if used in a small way -- as an instrument of His grace.

But He keeps demonstrating over and over again that size is of no significance. "Let no mouth open to gainsay it."

He's Not A Tame Lion Department: Bene Diction has a thought-provoking bit (I'm not really sure what to call it; it's not an article, and it verges on poetry, which shouldn't be surprising, as it came from the heart) about being being scared by God over at The Connexion. Go read it, and never forget that "It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of a Living God."

It is terrible, but at the same time, it is the very best thing that can happen to us.

Update Your Bookmarks Department: Bene Diction has moved! Drop by and say hello. You could offer to help unpack some boxes, while you're there.

Expletive Deleted Department: In the car this afternoon, I heard a soundbite from Sen. Diane Feinstein (D-Malarky) in which she said we should ban human cloning, but in the same breath advocated embryonic stem cell (ESC) research. She stated that researchers should be allowed to work with "unfertilized embryos." At that point, I let fly with a phrase that can't be repeated on a family friendly blog.

Simply stated, Feinstein is either an ignorant dupe of the pro-cloning crowd, or a duplicitous <insert strong word here>. "Unfertilized embryos"? Give me a break. "Unfertilized" is not a modifier one can use with the word "embryo." It just doesn't make sense at all.

By the way, I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas.
